TURN THE KEY,NOTHING!!!!!
I am having a strange thing happen about one out of five times when I try to start the Excursion. I turn the key and nothing, until I lift up on the shift lever and it starts right up. I would do a search but I really didn't know what to call it. The Excursion is a 2001 7.3 4wd if that matters. It has been doing this for 6-8 months. Thanks!!!

Thanks for the response! Where is the neutral safety switch located and is there some kind of adjustment with the switch? I've looked under the steering column and there was nothing loose. There was an adjustment for the pointer on the gear shift but it didn't seem to do anything. It's not a big deal but it is annoying!!!! Thanks
