I finally have the 302 mounted and hooked up with the tranny. The mechanical clutch bracket from a 74 250 just barely works
The truck had originally a 300 IL6 in it and now it has an 85 302. This is the only thing keeping the truck from getting up and driving away right now!
Does anyone know of the easiest way to wire up this motor? Can I use the original 300 wiring at all? I'm far from an electrician!
You can use the original wiring from the six, but you may have to splice and extend some of them. Or you could go to the junkyard and get a v8 harness.
