Source for bushings

Hey All -

I have a '96 Eddie Bauer F150 short box 4x4. I'm looking for a source for some bushings.

The bushings are for the stamped metal bracket/linkage piece the connects the transfer case shift lever to the switch on the transfer case.

They are just nylon bushings. But Ford says my truck is OBSOLETE (?really?) and they don't carry that part any longer. They did give me a source, but in order to get the nylon bushings I need, I need to buy the entire bracket with the bushings installed for about $110 + shipping.

It's a piece of stamped metal about 8" or 10" long with a nylon bushing on each end. $110? Really? Anyhow, if anyone knows where I can get just the bushings for this part, please let me know. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Rob

To resurrect an old thread I have a similar problem. I am looking for the shift linkage bushings for a 87 fi50 with a 4.9 and a c-6( the little plastic things that the rods snap into). Lmc doesn't list them NPD doesn't list them local parts places say ford only ford says"bring one in and we'll match up something" I may be stupid but I'm not taking the old ones out until they tell me they have some. Any suggestions from anybody here on where to get some of these. Thanks. Tom

Try rockauto.com and fill in the details of your truck and then look under transmission-auto.
