Yet another Header Thread ( I have searched )

I have a 2009 V10 F250 with 4.30 rear and was wanting to due some performance mods.

Many of you changed your headers but I have read that the latter model headers are pretty good and are on par with the ebay specials. Are the Banks headers and exhaust system as good as Banks claims? Is there another brand of headers that would out perform the stock or Banks? Would you savvy v10 guys replace the headers on a 09?

I do plan on getting a 5 star tune and full exhaust system but the headers are in question?

Thanks!

Banks does not even offer headers for the 3V V10 in the F-Series or E-series. Banks makes some big honking long tubes for the 3V V10 in the motorhome though but I'm shure they wouldn't fit on the F-series.

The factory manifolds that came on the 2V V10 were horrible. They were a log with holes in them. The 3V manifolds are tons better with actual tubes that go into a collector. The only way I'd replace the 3V manifolds with headers is if they were long tube headers or I had a lot of issues with stud breakage.

You better off getting just a tune and either getting a catback exhaust or just replace the stock muffler and add an exhaust tip.
