I have a 68, 240 manual, it has a vibration in the moto, i know it is not in the drive train, i just bought truck and have know idea what was done to it before, i check the crank pulley and it seems fine. if you know or have any ideas on what the problem could be let me know...
thanks rob
I had a 240 in my truck before I put the 360 in it and it had a vibration around 60mph in the shifter, all I did was change the bellhousing, it still has the same NP 4 speed but now it doesn't have the vibration that I notice
My father in law had the same problem in a 69 mustang and he swore it was the motor vibrating too. When working on tranny linkages we noticed that the transmition mount was broke and after changing it the vibration was gone. This might not be your case but it's worth checking in to.
i was wondering if it had the wrong pulley on the crank? it has a double pulley, it has no options, why would it have a double pulley????? does anyone know if i take it off and start motor if the vibration went away, would that be the problem??
