I found a 89 f250 body thats in great shape. I have a 94 f150 that iv been looking for a body for for a while now. my cabs still in good condition but i was wondering if its possible to switch interiors? this would save me from having to repaint my cab. thanks.
it should bolt up right the only major change ford made was the front clip and core support.... i like the 87-91 dashs better but every thing is so far away from u
no cause the heater core is different heat/cool controls are different dash is all electronic using a prom unit under the dash to display EVERYTHING on the instrument cluster etc etc etc
i know i said the dash was different..... geess does any body read these things thats not a major change THEY TAKE THE SAME ****** HEATER CORE looks is all that changed and guages
okay. maybe i should try explaining this again. the truck i have now is a 94. the body i am looking at is from an 89. i am wondering if the mounting for the dash etc. are the same in both cabs. i know that i have to swap everything from the 94 cab to the 89 so everything works proporly. i just dont know if it will all fit right. sorry for the confusion.
I understood what you were saying but in order for the stuff from the 94 cap to work you would have to Completely gut both cabs and swap them EXACTLY how they were installed in the other cab that includes the computer and all its wiring etc
You should be able to make it work, but some of the mounting points for the dash will not line up as-is, if I recall correctly.
EVERYTHING WILL FIT, but don't expect a simple bolt up job. Go into it with patience and maybe a little fabrication skill and you shouldn't have any trouble.
