Alrighty i put a nice aftermarket bumper on my 08' f-150, and now its come time to paint, i've picked up the colour for it and its a Kandy (its the dark red avaible on the f-150's). Now i've got a question on how much to reduce the paint by before i spray, just curious as to how much, and whats the best reducer to use (for both the base and colour).
Also i wasn't able to pick up any clear when i was, does anyone have some recomendations for a decent clear coat to get and use for this?
Most base clears are "about" 10% reduced - but it has to be fairly dialed in depending on conditions (temp and flow out).
As for clears, as was said above, best to get the House of Color clear for best results (and a warranty) - but you can also get some good production clears that will be compatible. Best to discuss it with your paint suppliers - they should be your first source of info.
