Got my ''Fluid Film'' today

Being its so slick and shiney, wonder if it could be used as a sidewall tire dressing?? It repells water so it would be nice to spray some on and coat the tire wall and see how long that last. Dano, would it be a problem on truck tire walls, not bicycle, I know this???

Did more Fluid Film spraying today. I lubed the springs that lift up the hood on my old truck. Quiet and as slick as can be now. I lubed the hood latch. Fixed. My doors now shut like with ease and give that vault sound sans squeaks and moans. Every spot I sprayed on the body, this stuff is still there, even through bad weather.
I'm going to lube my trimming tools and blacksmithing tongs with this stuff. Is this stuff flammable? Where can I get more of this stuff? What stores carry this stuff? This is good stuff.

I tried out my sample can yesterday. I was working on the snowmobiles and trailer and had a few rusty parts that needed attention. I was surprised when I first squirted it, I wasn't expecting the boiling action! Seems to work very well, it helped loosen up some rusted bolts on the trailer tongue jack, and I used it to lubricate the pivot points on the folding shovel I carry in my snowmobile.

The stuff works great!!! So I wanted to give my little testimonial too. My salt spreader has been sitting out in the weather behind my office since last time I used it (probably February of last 2009). Actually it has been sitting outside it's whole life. A couple of weeks ago we had sleet and freezing rain and I got called up to do some salting. I hooked up the spreader and when I powered it up, the motor hummed but the auger just sat there. I tried to free it up by hand but it didn't budge. I sprayed on some of the FF then went inside for 5 minutes to look up the address of the place I needed to go throw salt. I came out side and said a little prayer, threw the switch and voila, she freed up and has worked like a champ!!! As most of you know, we just had a blizzard here in the east and I have been working that spreader since 4 am Saturday and no issues with the motor binding up at all. Backing into a mountain of snow and bending the housing on it is another story though...

We use Fluid Film at the heavy duty truck shop I work at. It really is a awesome product but kinda pricey up here. After using it at work I decided to buy a can for at home and I think it cost me about $10-15 a can. Now I just borrow a can from work when I run out at home.
Also I am sure I have seen it at walmart up here.

This stuff is still on my '86 Ford's surface rust spots and the one rot spot above my rear passenger wheel. I've been through a few snow storms and melting after the storms and this stuff won't wear off. It keeps snow, mud and ice build-up off of the spots. It's almost like a snot type film that stays on there. The hood springs, latch and door locks are smooth as butter still. I also sprayed the floor mounted high/low beam switch and it's still smooth.
I want to pick up more of this stuff. I've found one place that's pretty far from my house, but close to my folks house, so I'll stop by when I'm out there.
Dan, you've got to pitch this stuff to D&B and other large tractor/farm supply stores.
