Radiator Location

I need some help. I started mocking up the location for the motor mounts for my 302 conversion. The truck is a 55. I need to determine how far foward I can go with the motor. I know that the general consensus is to put it as far back as possible but I have some other unused weldments on the frame rails that I would rather not have to cut/grind off if possible. Putting the block at the furthest back position possible right now makes the front crank pulley about 1" behind the front crossmember. The engine works fine in that location but I don't know if I have enough clearance from the radiator. The whole front clip was removed last summer and is in storage. I would really rather not have to pull it out if I don't have to. Can someone tell me or show me with a picture where the radiator mounts in relation to that front cross member. I am going to use an electric fan so I need to make sure I have enough room between the engine and the radiator to fit the fan plus a little wiggle room.

Thanks,

Keith

If room is an issue an electic fan can push or pull! So you can put it in front.
