Yes it will since it's the same motor except for a few internal parts. If you get an earlier HO intake where the TB attached straight out from the upper then the upper can be mounted with the TB facing the drivers side and then the stock truck airbox location can be retained. This should also make it a little easier to mount the truck acelerator, cruise, and TV cables though some custom bracket fabrication may be required.
Let me ask you this. Im looking to get a little more performance out of my motor. Nothing major. And i was looking at a new throttle body and the one for the truck is like $300. I know i can get a mustang one cheaper, so would i see improvement in buying a mustang intake and a bigger throttle body ?

Ha.. ok here's the deal. The truck intake system is not restrictive at all, the intake runners are hugh compared to the HO, the twin throttlebodies are larger than the biggest single TB you could fit on the HO intake, and so are the intake tubes and airbox. To get more power from this motor the first two things that need to be addressed are the exhaust and cam and after that it's the heads, but if you don't fix the other two first then heads won't make much difference. Bottom line is don't waste any time and money on the intake side of the motor, start with the exhaust.
Swapping to a HO intake is still a good idea and will help the motor produce a broader powerband.. if you don't have any plans to change the heads any time soon, but just install it as you find it there's no need for another throttlebody. But be aware it is not a direct parts swap, some changes are necessary to the vacuum lines and sensor wiring because of the different TB location, and you need both the upper and lower portions since the car and truck intakes are totally different and cannot be combined.
