I put 18" Eagle Alloys w/Michelins on my Ex a couple of years back. Looking to change again. No problems with previous set up in about 80,000mi.
Just saw an 08 King Ranch F250 and liked the 20" wheels. So what I need is for someone to tell me if they will work on the Ex without spacers or some other adapting. Lifting would be okay. I am running the 18"s with no changes to the stock suspension and no issues.
Also are the wheels pictured below OEM or aftermarket? I think AM, if so they may work for me.
Thanks in advance for any answers or direction to where I can get the answers.
I've run the combo for 2 years now and have had absolutely no problems or issues. (I run my stock OEM's in the winter).
There are LOADS of treads out there regarding the topic... search my threads and you find a bunch. Do a search of just the X forum and you find a lot too!
The picture is just one I copied. I am saying that I have 18" Eagles with Mich currently and would like to change to 20s. The series I currently run is 186. If you have the 114 series could you post a picture?
I don't know why Eagle Alloy discontinued the 18" by 9.5" wheel size. Now they show an 18" by 8.5" wheel. I needed a 35" tire so the extra width was handy for me. It just depends upon your need.
Just bought an 04 250 screw 4x4, don't know type of rims, they're 18's, black/silver, 8 spoke similar to the harley rims on 285x65r Nittos. I really like the Lariat OEM 5 spoke 20's with the white letter BFG's. Can I put the 20's on my 04, ? on lug spacing 170mm and will I need back spacers. If this can work, do you know anyone that would be interested in trade. I can send pics of tires/wheels. Thanks, Bama
FoMoCo changed the backspacing in the 05 superduty line. I think you will need 2" spacers to run any 05+ OEM wheel. Good luck. I had to back burner the new wheels for now.
