Hypochondriac????

Okay, let's all talk about our psychological problems, kind of like an AA meeting. Who on here is a hypochondriac? Now I am not talking about medical issues, I am talking with our 6.0?

You know what I am talking about, you start your truck and you swear you heard something different. You spend the next two days thinking about what is wrong.

Or that little puff of blue smoke when you start it up. Man, you almost drive your truck straight to the dealer and you spend the next week checking your exhaust every time you start your truck.

Haha, well, I wanna know who has the same problem I do. I have passed the first stage of denial.

Nope, don't have that problem. I like to drive it like I stole it. If it breaks it breaks. I enjoy driving it everyday. Besides, if it is going to break there is nothing you can do about it. With that being said, you have to consider the consequences of modding before you do it. IMO moded or even bone stock can and will probably break at some point. Also, is your truck not still under warranty? Having said that I have not had near the problems others on FTE have had. My F250 has been great for 45,000. At 15,000 I had bed pan seal leak fixed (warranty), and blown head gaskets at 40,000 (my fault of course from programming). None of which left me stranded (thankfully).

No problems here mechanically since the head studs went in. Can't say the same for programming.

I have had all sorts of odd things... latest is a noise coming from the engine compartment (rotating, low pitch squeal).

Italian tune-up (floor the thing a few times) cleared it up.

Nah, I have 106,000 on mine. NEVER left me stranded, but....I have had it in the dealer about 6 times, all were legit, like oil/egr cooler, and things like that.

Brother I am totally with you! After the HPOP ( back in April) I heard a rattle and almost crapped my pants! Turned out to be the DP rattling on Xmember- WHEW! I just started to relax driving it when this latest issue reared its ugly head. I'm sure when I get it back this week from 4 inj &GP's and FICM I'll be driving with the radio off for a few days!

Man, that is bad if just working on your truck is a full time job. Hehe. Nah, being a Ford Diesel tech is definitely a secure job, even in this economy. LOL.

Man there are days I hate my job. Most of the time I love it. I get to play with fire, fuel, and firetrucks all day long. I get to take apart $150k trucks and put them in to big piles all over the shop floor then put it back together and road test it like its someone else's truck..... wait it is someone else's truck. heheheh
