Running poorly - CEL light with No Codes

Alright so it snowed last week in Texas... I also bought my house the same day. Side note to that, I have a 1996 F250 7.3L 4x4 with 240k-ish miles on it. Factory glow plugs, and have replaced two injectors in its lifetime. I use an FPPF diesel fuel treatment to keep my injectors clean.

Basically the day I bought my house my truck ran horribly, it was a really hard start in the morning in the cold, and it barely kept it's temp up. A few days later, it still runs poorly. I'm thinking I'm running on 6 cylinders because my mileage has gone south and it has a loss of power (hence the mileage as I have to have a somewhat heavy foot). At higher RPM's the roughness isn't noticeable. There's also a slight flitter in the voltmeter, which I am guessing is a reflection of the changing RPM's.

I have no noticeable leaks, minus an oil drip from the pan gasket which I am just not willing to go through the effort to fix until it goes from an inconvenience to a problem.

It has had GP issues for a while, and my thoughts are that I maybe have 2 or 4 good ones left, and that I probably finally fried the valve cover harness wiring to my injectors which is causing the rough idle and power drain.

I haven't had time to check for burnt plastic yet, but does my thought process seem to make sense? The truck is completely drivable, just has deteriorated performance and feels/sounds poor.

In all honesty it could be I have dropped an injector or two, but with it getting cold and then suddenly happening after a few hard starts it seems more than coincidence.

I just want some conformation my thought process isn't delusional.
