68 years ago today the world changed course forever and with it the lives of millions.
It would be a great shame if anyone forgot such a milestone in world history (not just American history).
I know this doesn't seem as important as 9/11 or veterans day but as I said it really is and if I am wrong for posting this feel free to say so and have the mods blow this thread away as I mention no harm.
Yeppers, thanks for pointing it out, I don't know much about history, and don't read the news or watch it much, so I wasn't aware of the date, even though I have been there and seen the wreckage, of course that was many years ago for me, and at the time I had very little interest. However, this is one thing that I have learned from you, and I appreciate it, and the history behind it now.
I guess I used to think there was no reason to learn history, as I always thought I was destined to make my own history, and history has proven I won't.
So.. your thread was not in vain, it was educational for me and thanks for posting.
