engine mounts

i have a 82 4x2 that has a decent body with a 400 engine and a 84 4x4 that had a diesel the body is junk will the 400 mount to the diesel frame mounts ? Thanks Dan

not sure, but the most would happen, you would have to swap the perches the motor mounts sit on between the 2 trucks

thanks charlie i didnt expect such a quick reply, im hoping they are the same that way i could get the motor and tranny in before i swap bodies.

The diesel has some plates and stuff you will need to make it work. Here's a picture.

if they don't work, just grind off the rivit heads, punch out the rivit with a punch and bf hammer, then bolt them back in with grade 8 bolts that fit in the holes snugly
