here is a quick history bought truck a month ago. Was hard starting , replace glow plug relay. started better, but took about 5-6 sec to catch. Starting stallin and sometimes would start right back up or sometimes people would be beeping at you to get out of the way. Had cps replaced and speed sensor. Truck still had same problems and got worse. Finally pulled fuel pump and the lifter was broken and working but not correctly . So i put pump on from other truck . Now it wont start on it own. Will start but only th wrong way.(ether i know it is bad) Saw oil behind ipr . Ihop was low. Got new oring kit , no leaks and filled up ihop. Broke icp when working on truck . got new one . I have tried changing metal box on drivers side fender think it is the pcm. No change . Replaced the cps 2nd time nothing . Changed batteries and starter still nothing . No blown fuses , swapped relay all working fine . Truck will run and when you get on it it runs fine . Throws check engine light and stall s, also stalls at lower rpm. When you go to shutoff and go to start right back up, nothing . No white smoke fells like no fuel. pulling p1211 as a code . Simeone said could be bad idm ? where is is ? would it cause it or any othere ideas. Bad ipr . Kepp in mind i have a spare engine so it is not costing to swap parts. Help Please

 

The IDM is on the drivers side bolted to the fender.right behind the air cleaner. grey box.somebody will come on soon to tell you what they think.I think it's called the injector drive module

 

P1211 ICP Not Controllable - Pressure Above/Below Desired

I know you said you replaced it but getting the plug snapped in for a good connection can be challenging. Try re-seating it.

Also check the IPR wires. Many times they will melt from the oil and diesel fuel on them.
