Hello everyone-1st time user to a forum. I could use a little input regarding my suspension. Last week the check susp. light came on. When i got home and shut it down, the compressor kept running, but seemed slow and groggy. I turned the switch off in the passenger cabin, but continued to run. I finally located the fuse, and removed the power. The next day i installed the fuse and it fired up again, but would not shut off. I tapped on the relay under the horn area, but no luck. The car has sat for a week now, and the rear end is down. I installed the fuse again, the compressor seems to run forever, but the rear will not lift. The front end seemed to go higher than i have ever seen it go! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I checked the union as you mentioned, but no luck. The rear end is all the way down, and will not raise at all. I also jacked the rear of the vehicle up, hoping that the system would fill. It went right back down when i lowered the jack. I traced the line from the compressor all the way back to the air bags, spraying them with soapy water as i went, but never found any leaks. I started tracing the front air line, and did find a leak at the y located on the passenger side. I need to figure out how that comes apart, and what parts i may need. The funny thing is i never had a problem with the front end-its always at the proper height! Does this sound like it could be my rear end issue? Any suggestions are appreciated.
you have a hole in the system that is why the back is down the front looks higher because the back is so far down, front bumper might be higher due to the lean -- to disconnect the connector there should be some lips on the hose push further into connector then while holding it in pull the hose out
Thanks for the replies. I will investigate the rear bags a little further tomorrow. In regards to the front air line, do i need to releave any pressure prior to removing line?
