Over-drive "Off light on dash"

Vehicle F-150,Supercab, 2004,68,000 miles.

My "overdrive off light on the dash keeps turning on when I pull into my drive way and put the transmission into park. I am not realizing any other problem other than the light coming on.

Is this an indication of a problem or a potential problem?

I am not much of a "shade tree mechanic".

Assuming you have the column shifter on your truck. You are not accidentally pressing the O/D lockout switch that is mounted on the end of the transmission shift lever when you put it in park are you?
