Ya gotta feel sorry for the guy. He bought a Ford diesel thinking it was the best truck and wound up getting burnt over and over again. Ford really messed up big with that motor.
I may be wrong with this one... but I think it was Navistars problem... ford wanted an engine that would hold over til the new emissions, so thats what was used to meet current until the 08 emissions coming out. it was not suppost to be an off cab engine for repairs or anything, but it turned out to be in the fords and also a faluty design. Then the 6.4 came out which is better, but is being discontiuned because Navistar broke the contract and made the cost of each 6.4 1000 bucks more than before, and why the 6.7 Scorpion is coming out and is a Fully FORD design and was produced in something like 16 months.
