Speaking of turn signals, here's a head-scratcher: My turn signals work fine. The front and rear lights work when the signal is turned on. But when the headlights are also on the driver's side signal (green arrow light in dash) stays on unblinking. I will blink when the signal is on but when the signal is turned off it remains on and unblinking. Any suggestions? This is in a 1976 f250. Thanks!

Grounding issue, also make sure the ground wire is firmly pressed into the the back of the bulbs socket.
If the ground wires are not the issue it could be the problem I had in mine which was the turn signal switch went out which caused my signals to not function properly or even not at all, and also the brake lights would not work or stay lit at times.
replacing the switch on mine was a very good idea, i needed to do it, but i put an aftermarket wheel on, the signals and flashers work perfectly, and i know what i have.
only problem I had with mine was finding a switch w/ cruise control since that part hadn't been made in many many years but I found one and no longer have any problems with lighting and th CC works again. For a switch w/o CC they're easier to find and a bit cheaper as well. Not too difficult to replace either.
Hey everyone! It's been sort of a long while since I posted, but Old Blue is going to finally come home from the paint shop on Monday and I have to finish up some small issues. (wiring)
I took Old Blue all the way down to the frame and back up. Everything seems to be working fine, but I have something puzzling me: When I turn on the turn signal the side marker blinks as well if the headlights are on.
It's been so long since I had it running (three years) I have forgotten if they are supposed to blink.
Can someone tell me if the side markers (front) blink with the turn signals and with the headlights on?
No. the side marker lights are not suppose to blink with the turn signals.
The really strange part is that everything blinks like it is supposed to, but I just don't remember the side markers on the front doing that. Go figure.
By the way, I have a link to the work on my '74. I should have some new pics posted this coming week with the final paint and stripes. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2537897
The side marker lights? Just out of curiousity, are they LED? I swapped the front corner lights (in the side trim on the front) to matching 194 style LED's and for some reason when I have the headlights on the driver side light will blink or flash, either really fast, slow or not at all. It could be reverse polarity, but I haven't gotten a chance to fix that yet since the truck is in the shop getting a new motor right now.
