Cool BAD problems looking for help

I have a 1988 ford f-150 xlt lariat that i recently did head gaskets on. I went and got a new exhaust put on it and just picked it up today, while i was driving home from the shop my truck had no power at all, i mean none, going down the highway i think i reached a top speed of 35 mies an hour going down hill. All my gauges are reading normal but it doesnt want to get going. If anyone has any suggestions for me i would be very grateful. Thanks in advance for any help.

Was it running normally when you took it to the shop? If so, then they've done something to cause the problem, and they should be the ones to fix it.

Did it exhibit this before the new exhaust? maybe one of the new components is faulty or someone left you an "easter egg" in a pipe somewhere?

Yeah it could. It would try to pump more fuel to the engine, and it would be leaking out of the hole. It could be a cause.

I am going to try to put a temporary "patch" on the line tomorrow until i can get the money to replace the line. also since it is a fuel injected it needs a higher fuel pressure and without that pressure it would not be getting enough gas in the cylinders to burn.
