Welcome to FTE! Could it be coming from the fuel pump? Maybe pedestal bolts? I would clean it real good w/brake clean or something and get a good look at what you are dealing with. Some one else will tell you some other "common" ares to look to.
Again welcome!
Well this brings me to another question. I know this sounds kinda stupid but im gonna ask anyways. Can I drive this truck to the local car wash and power wash this motor and then drive it home? I know some vehicles you cant do that cause of electronics and the risk of cracking a alluminum block or head. This is the first Powerstroke I have ever owned and I am starting to get attached to this ole truck. I dont want to crack something on the motor or turbo by spraying water on a hot engine or ruin something electronic on it. I am a bit of a clean freak when it comes to my trucks and its driving me nuts knowing that the motor is dirty. I wana clean it good and fix whatever is leaking on it and keep it clean. So to sound Juvinile what do yall think? By the way thank you guys for responding to my questions. You all seem like a great group of guys and I appreciate the help on my question no matter how miniscule the are. lol Keep on Keeping on!!
I've done mine several times but I always keep it running and I just give it a few quick sweeps never holding it in any area too long to cause damage, ain't much different than driving in a rain storm..... Just don't point it directly into the air intake
