Truck wont start?

1991 F250 3/4 ton XLT with a 5.0

Girlfriend went out to start the truck it fired right up she let it run while she was waiting for me. I wasnt ready yet so she shut the truck off came back inside. 15 minutes later we went to leave and started the truck

It was idling around 1200 RPM then it would drop down almost stalling out then it would slowly go back up to 1200 RPM then do the same thing. Then it died now I cant get it started now.

My first thought was some thing to do with the vacuums but i have no idea. It was running fine 15 minutes before? Any help would be great. Thanks

Pull the codes and see what they tell you.
Sounds like it might be the TFI module on the distributor.
You could also check the vacuum line going to the MAP sensor.
Do you hear the fuel pumps run for one second and then stop when you turn on the key?
