Headlights, Fuses, etc....
The headlights on my 1979 Econoline went out while driving in the middle of the night, luckily i have foglights installed which got me home....
The headlight switch/dimmer still seems to work, it turns on my amber lights and still dims my instrument panel, so i think the switch is still good...
I'm thinking its a fuse, but my panel is not labelled...
I had one burnt out fuse, but it was for my interior lights.
I dont have the owners manual, and can't seem to find where the headlight fuse is located, im pretty sure that's whats causing the problem?

any help or advice for troubleshooting?

I think there's a circuit breaker built into the switch, it may be fed through a fusible link. A wiring diagram would tell you for sure. It could still be a switch and the park light part of it works

there is a breaker built into the headlight switch
it feeds from one of the main circuits off of the battery at the solenoid, IIRC
on the 79 IIRC you have a floor mounted dimmer switch
if so this is the place to start
pull back the mat and look closely at the connector for corrosion and over heating
