David, I bought my son an 2001 F150 recently. My best friend, a hard core car guy, recommended that I go to Amazon.com and buy the Chilton manual. It is packed with info and well worth the price. You can find them at auto parts stores too. The manuals show how to do almost everything. If I had it here at the office I would look it up for you and tell you how. Sorry I can't help more but you should buy the book.
Under the hood the fuse box should be unclipped to get to the fuses.
For the doors, there are multiple screws. I believe there are a couple on the bottom of the door panel, and one or two behind the beze that is around the door handle, and one under where the switches for the door are. The door panel should then be able to lift up and off
I would suggest a chiltons or haynes manual as well. not a bad book for your truck.
