what you doing today charlie? I might get a chance to fix a few chain saws -including yours today if the phone don't start ringing off the hook ~~
don't know yet. Bud says I'm going to get called into work, even though the state said no.I need to go up to mom's and point up the fire bricks in her fire place, and fix her `puter. might hang out here in case Bud is right
Hey Jr., I've got the excuse of no water at least. What's happening Mary's Land?
guess you need to get a shovel, and start digging up the pipe. start near the house, it has to be close to that end, or it wouldn't be comeing in the house. find the leak, and if the line is copper, go to home depot, or lowes, and buy a piece of copper to repair it. you can use compression fittings, easy fix, tubeing cutter, and some wrenches, and your good to go. if line not copper, dig it up over to the meter valt, and get a roll of copper. compression fittings, tubeing cutter and wrenches are the tools again. hardest part of the job, is the digging. Ian is right you know, YOU can do this! if your ice maker sprung a leak, would you fix it, or call a plumber? same thing, just a larger scale

If it wasn't so deep, I might consider it. Been thinking about how deep I have to go & just don't see me standing in a hole that deep.
I can't imagine it being that deep, frost line is 32". how deep is the water meter when you open the cap? you should be able to see the watersuply line in there at the bottom.that is how deep it is. what makes you think it's that deep?

Ground level is about celing height, pipe comes in no more than 3 feet off the floor if that much.
pipe might drop down at the last minute, would be worth a little digging to find out, sucks not haveing any water. I know this because I have a well, when the power is out, no wawa

There is a hole started there. Had a bush on the corner of the house where it comes in & knew it would have to go. Being lazy, I threw it on Craig's List ( love that ). Free bush - you come dig it up, you can have it. Somebody did. He did say next time he was going to ask how old the bush was before he went out & started digging.
