But Jr, those are some cars with some power !!!!!!! None of this emmission crap. Sometime I would like to get a classic to toy with because they are simple to work on.
still got mine ~just no money to fix her back up -yeah they were sure easy to work on
could change the valve cover gaskets in less than an hour ~takes around 12 on these new ones~ maybe more
and a case and a half of beer-maybe more if ya skin a knuckle
they are sure easier
not to mention all the dang tools ya lose on the new ones
if ya don't drop em and they got to never never land
you get pissed and throw over half the box down through the woods
I love simplicity

Speaking of repairing, I had it down to replacing the starter in that Monte in about 30 minutes. That was from pulling the ramps out of the garage, dropping the header, pulling the plugs on that side, changing starters, re installing the header and plugs and putting the ramps away. She would cook the selenoid every 4-6 months.
I know many times I would love to be able to pick these new ones up and shake em upside down to retrieve one of my new sockets or wrenches
where can they go that ya can't find em?
how does that happen?
there is only so many spots for a tool to fall and hide -right?
