Need Motor?
High new to this forum. I usely go on 6.0. But anyway new customer/ friend claims 06 5.4 is losing power as we speak... (He really loves to go fast!!!) I have performed required maint. plugs fuel filters etc. even took it to dealer, another friend, and had them to a Diag. on it they found nothing wrong but did suggest maybe doing all the cam stuff ,chains,timing crap(forgot the real name) Anyway everyone agreed it would get very expensive, very fast and you still have a eng with over 120,000 miles on it (it also seems to have a lot of tappet noise starting to come on) The owner/friend wants me to find a drop in motor with power already built in. I have no idea about what is out there for 5 .4's So I thought I would see if maybe someone here could steer me in the right direction. Thanks.
