got the transfer case together

Got it all together, new seals and mounts. I have better engagement in 4wheel low but still issues with the 2wd and 4hi. I see no way to adjust this thing like some of the other recommendations as in there is no plate or anything. Just a shift lever bolted to the extension adapter and an entry point into the transfer case. I found a guy that has one with unspecified miles but it is only 50 bucks. I am hoping that between the two i can get something going! Any thoughts on it? It is the same year and style so i am optimistic.

I think 50 bucks is worth it for a spare.
Unhook your linkage and put it in 2 wheel drive by hand and see if you still have issues.

Looks like it has been dry, should I open it up soak the internals? If even just inspect it all?

What do you mean dry, does it appear to have run dry or just from sitting.
New seals and gaskets wouldn't hurt. How does it feel when turned by hand in different gears.

dry from sitting with out fluid in it. Overall it looks to be in decent shape, probably needs all new seals and maybe input and output bearings but i have yet to crack it open.
