Performance questions????

Ok well it seems my other ford techs are clueless when it comes to the performance. Currently I have an Afe stage 2 intake, 3in downpipe and 4in exhaust, and a superchip. Honestly i hate the superchip worst mileage ever however decent power. So id like to go with maybe a ts performance chip..... Soon will be coming my guages and and banks intercooler. So i want to eventually run a bigger turbo, 50 to 100hp injectors, and a bigger lift pump for the injectors fyi mines leaking and needs replacement. So does any one have ideas on a chip, turbo, injectors, and fuel pump????? i would like the best bang for my buck. I found many of parts on the internet but not alot of info about the products. Thanks

For Chips, there are the TW Chip, PHP Chip, or DP tuner.

THese trucks don't really have a "lift-pump". It's a High Pressure Oil Pump that runs the injectors.

I love my PHP chip. Good power, same or better MPG... Injectors I'd look into Rosewood Diesel at DIY-Injectors.com

For turbo it depends on what you want to do with it and how much power. A cheaper upgrade would be a D66 from Bean's. But if you really want power a H2E setup would be best.

A good aftermarket electric fuel system to replace the mechanical one is a good upgrade.

And for your HPOP (high pressure oil pump) either a Adrenaline pump or a Terminator Engineering pump.

I can get 300-330 miles out of a tank on 15 gallons, that's with a Dp-tuner chip running the 80 HP Econo tune.. My mileage went up a good 1.5 - 2 mpg since I put it in, great chip.. Must be something really wrong if you can only get 100 miles a tank

The fuel pump must be leaking more than you think. I'll bet the fuel odor is pretty bad.
Diesel will evaporate when it's gets hot, and there's lots of hot places in the engine valley......if it runs down the back of the block....at least the bottom of your truck won' rust

I get around 300 miles to 15 gallons in mine as well and i use Tony's tunes and it hardly ever comes out of extreme tune. ditch the super**** and get ya a good chip for that thing. i would talk to Tony Wildman @ Total Diesel Performance, Jody @ DP-Tuner, Bill @ Power Hungry Performance, Matt @ Gearhead Auto, Swamps, and Beans. Once you talk to them then you can decide which one your more comfortable with tuning your truck.

injectors aren't based off of power levels for our trucks like dodges. ours go by CC's. your stock injectors are 90cc. stage 1's are 160cc w/ stock nozzles, 2's are 160cc w/ 80% larger than stock nozzles, 3's are 238cc hybrids w/ 100% larger than stock nozzles, etc.... each injector step requires more and more to make it reliable. stage 2's will eventually eat your stock turbo and you will then want to step up to an H2E or something like it. stage 1's work well with the stock turbo or a D66 turbo from Beans. the D66 will get eaten up by stage 2's IMO. so if you run stage 2's with an H2E then its a good idea to throw in some head studs to keep from blowing the head gaskets. H11's are my recommendation, but you can go with ARP's if you like... to run bigger injectors you need the fuel system. electronic regulated return is the way to go. i use the dieselsite CPR fuel system and i love it.

Also, you can plumb up a stock super duty IC to work in your truck or a stock 6.0 IC to work instead of spending the money on the Banks IC. hope this helps. haha

Him and his budd's are ford diesel tech's.
He needs all the help he can get.
My thoughts are is it should run right before
even thinking about performance mods.
