Alright guys, so yesterday evening i was leaving to go out and meet up with some friends and as I started to drive off, I noticed that my dash was not lit, so I pulled over, played with my DRL control and nothing, all it did was turn my headlights on and off. I got out of the vehicle checked the rest of the truck out and noticed that NONE of my lights were functioning except for my headlights (high beam only).
Checked my fuses this morning and all seem to be fine inside the cab fuse panel (unless I missed something, but i double checked twice). Any ideas ? I however did notice that when I remotely start my truck, ALL my lights work just fine except for low beams .. and when I put my key in the ignition, all the lights turn off again !
So tell me, is there a fuse I missed checking ? Im positive I looked at all of the related fuses but im so lost and in need of immediate help ! this truck is stressing me to the max right now with all these little issues popping up over the last 2 months !
PS the truck is an 03 F250 XL model with a Viper alarm remote start combo, Boss VPLOW, and if it matters a Pioneer Avic F900BT (but this changes every now and then, the screen i mean.)
I was gonna say check the fuse compartment under the hood, but you say everything works when you remote start it, then dies when the key is in? If its an aftermarket remote start, pull it out. Then see what the truck does, maby its in the starter kit.
After almost 5 years of being on though ? The catch with the starter install is everything is wired before the factory DRL switch. Im wondering if this at all is a comon problem .. and maybe easily fixed or if I just have to buy a new one.
