Brake Bleed Procedure..?

Ok, this may sound funny but which order is the best or recommended way of bleeding each wheel cylinder , especially after replacing the front two..,pardon my lack of experience because I was shown starting furthest away from the Master Cylinder RR,LR,RF and the LF. I was just wondering if I could get some input from other peoples experience because I know there is specific bleed procedures/sequences varying from car to car or does it really make a diff?

I would agree with the procedure you were shown, start at the right rear wheel and then work your way closer to the master cylinder. Also, after you get a good bleed the first time, I'd recommend driving around a bit, coming back, and bleeding again to make sure you get all the air bubbles out of the system so you can get a nice responsive brake pedal

Yup, ditto that response. Start farthest to nearest. Then go around one final time for good measure.

I'm kinda new at bleeding brakes as well, Do you have to bleed the rears if you only reformed work to the front? I'm fixing to do just that.

Go for a test drive after the work (don't wreck, ok? ;) and tell us? ;)

It's easy to bleed 'em by yourself tho and look at all that used brake
fluid you'll have to use as paint remover and grease remover too.
LOL :)

Rip the label off the bottle!
Even if it don't come off easy.

--------------------

Get a piece of vacuum hose or something similar and put one end in a
jar with a little bit of fluid in it and the other on the loose bleed screw.

Get in and pump the brake pedal slow and easy and watch the level in
the master cylinder go down from the cab, don't let it run less than half
full.

Do it four times and you're done. :)

This method even works on my '75 F150 with front disc brakes and the
proportioning valve. I've never needed to "bench bleed" YMMV on that.

Made that years ago and from what I can tell, it doesn't do anything.
LOL :)

Ive used the MityVac Silver Auto Vacuum Pump Kit and man Its alot better than have someone pump the brakes for you and it helps to have some Liquid Wrench or Pb Blaster handing and a set of Irwin Rounded bolt extractor sockets 10mm size because of the age and the fact that no matter what I do it almost always rounds off even with a good wrench [i.e. Blue Point], took me a minute to get the rears to even budge but when they did it did well, but still need to get a new set further down the road. But after bleeding them a few times I finally got the firm pedal feel, Ive wanted.
