whats a glow plug delete mod?
Not something you would want to do.
The thought was lowering the compression ratio, which is not important unless you have a turbo and are running high boost.
The proper way to lower compression is mill the pistons, not pull and delete the glow plugs.
A reliable starting engine is more important.

oh ok, i saw someone had that done. yea ill keep the glow plugs in, mad snow where i live anyway. i thought maybe he got rid of the controller and relay and put a push button or switch in place. thanks again dave
When you look at what the volume of the tip you cut off is, the compression ratio can't change that much.
Branden is you want to go manual with the glow plugs that is an easy thing to do.
Remove the white wire from the relay.
Attach a wire to that terminal and run it i the cab.
Attach it to a momentary switch on one terminal.
Attach a wire to the othe rterminal and run it to a good electrical ground under the dash.
Done wiring.
Operation, turn key to on
Depress momentary switch for 10 seconds or less
Start the engine
