trans only has drive
I posted this in the idi forum but figure I may get a faster reponse here. Last night the c6 in my truck suddenly didn't want to pull up a steep hill. I pulled it down to low and it went on up. When we got ready to leave I started the truck and let it warmup as always and tryed to back it up and it tryed to go forward! I did get it home (about 40 miles) and it went in drive fine. Today I went out to look at it and found that all postions are drive except nuetral which seems normal. Even park seems to move the tires forward. I tried to adjust the linkage but no luck. I pulled the pan and everything in side seems to be normal all postions click in place. Also the fluid level was fine. could this be a bad valve body or should I be looking for another tranny? By the way, as my sig says it is a 6.9 idi in the Bronco and the tranny is out of a 88 F250 that I bought and put in this past febuary.
