Leveling kit and 35's

I am considering getting my 04 Supercrew leveled and installing 35's on either the stock wheels or mickey thompson classic IIs. What are your opinions on 33's vs 35s? I have a feeling that if I went with 33's I would be wishing I went bigger.. But the real reason I posted is because I want to see pictures of a leveled f150 with 35s (maybe with mickey thompsons) thanks guys!

I have an '04 FX4 with a Daystar leveling kit and 18x9 XD monster wheels and the toyo open country 325 65's which are essentially 35x12.5's wouldn't fit after the guys at Discount Tire said they would fit "all day long", they were wrong, they rubbed real bad on the inner corner of the fender. I put the toyo open country all terrains 325 60's (33X12.5) on and they fit fine.

I personally didn't care for the way the 35's looked with just the leveling kit, looked too stuffed in there, but that is just my opinion. FYI, I had the same size nitto's on before these tires and I was trying to find something a little bigger. I think that a 34 would look right and work right, but as far as I know they don't make one.

I don't know if other leveling kits give you more clearance than others, but with the Daystar I don't think you would have much luck unless they changed them since '04.

Well here is my 04 with 33/12.50/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Mtz on Mickey thompson classic II's. I love the set up. I got a 3" leveling kit with rear add a leaf. But personally I would go with 35's. 35's will be my next purchase. I bought the 33's before I got the leveling kit so I figured I would just run these till they are junk. This will give you an idea though. I think 33's look small. Alot of open wheel well space.

@ still smoking

yea you could use the 35's, still looks good though. The leveling kit I got was just the 2 1/2" for the front no add a leafs for the rear. I don't have as much open wheel well, so I still don't think my truck would look good with the 35's. Should have done a little more research before I got mine, ohh well.

I had the same question a while back. Your truck looks great btw. How would 35's be as far as going offroad with the suspension at full travel and fully retracted, do you think 35's would rub.

Still Smoking, I love the look of your truck. you actually have the wheel/tire combo I am looking for and Im not sure if the 33s look small or if its because of the extra .5" of lift (3" vs 2.5" leveling kit and add-a-leaf

It's because 33's look small on these trucks.I only have a 2" leveling kit and no add a leaf or anything in back and 33's look small on my truck too.

I like the look of 35's but I don't really regret not getting them.I'm not crazy about doing the required trimming to make them fit with just a leveling kit and then still have the off road capabilies of the truck comprimised.

it just sounded like you meant that when you said they still look too small. I don't want to do any cutting/trimming lol
