96 Headlight assembly adjustment help

Just finished replacing my rad support and now whenI put on my headlight assembly one side is an inch too far away from the fender.
Is there a way to adjust this? Thx

PS replacing a rad support requires a huge sense of humour, lots of PB blaster. and use new M6 M7 M8 bolts .... and buy a few nuts too.Im in for at least 15 hours.( I scrape and cleaned and painted whatever I could.

Are you talking about the actual headlight assembly, or the header panel that the headlights mount to?

Can you take a picture of what is not fitting well? There could be numerous reasons why it won't go back all the way. There could be a tab or bracket that is sticking out or....?
