Everything has been pretty well covered by the other guys and I agree with their suggestions. If your power goals include making as much pulling TQ as possible across the stock powerband(0-4500) I suggest you keep the stock cam and add 1.7 roller rockers and longtube headers. Definitely upgrade the heads and intake but don't use the Edelbrock truck version it was designed for a stock motor, use the car version or a Typhoon which is a performer copy. If you want big hp then things get more complicated, there are lots of cams that would work but you will most likely exceed the capacity of the stock EFI and fuel systems so the cost and complexity of the buildup goes up significantly.
