steering problems
my 2007 F350 4X4 6.0L is experiencing steering problems. it does not occur all the time, usually on a cold morning, the steering flip flops back and forth, quickly as is a tie rod end is bad, but i have already replaced the drag link, which did have some minimal play and the bushing under the passenger side tie rod end, that conects to the drivers side tie rod. that part was worn quite a bit, but the problem although not as evident as before has occured once or twice since, just floping once or twice. i am wondering if this could be a problem in the switching valve in the power steering unit or something else, at one point i could have been pulled over for dwi as the truck was back and forth so much. any ideas?

I know the feeling you are describing. My 2000 f250 4x4 7.3L had been doing the same thing. I sucked out as much p/s fluid as I could and replaced with Mobil 1 syn ATF and I have not had the problem come back. Hope this works for you, if it does not you are only out 5 bucks and 15 minutes of time. Good luck!
