Last Friday we drove to lynchburg, Va for the weekend. Sometimes while on a road trip you see some really stupid stuff. I saw a Windstar pulling a tandem axle travel trailor. I'm guessing it was a 20 footer.
I wouldn't recommend this on a flat surface much less the mountainous terrain of Western Virginia. I'm sure he had trailor brakes but it still seems a little odd to me.
A class 3 hitch can't even be mounted on a windstar. He's going to kill someone when that thing comes loose.
If it's an older one I know you can mount a class 3 onto it. Max towing weight of the hitch is 3500 lbs but I'm sure the car can not handle that much safely.
tell me about those trans. Had one replaced under warranty at 54K, rebuilt at 101K. So you only get about 50K out of them.
Last time rebuilt was with heavy duty parts...ran it for about 60K till it blew a headgasket.
Don't quote me on this because I'm not 100% sure I'm correct but I'm pretty sure Ford puts (or used to put) the same tranny in the Taurus. That should explain it right there.
this was pretty funny when i first saw it... actually pretty intresting at the same time... lol... i wonder if any of them are still around... i got an old VW in the back yard lol
