Looks pretty beat for $850. I'll bet you could find one much nicer for that price.
What specifically are you looking for, 4x4, 2wd, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, reg cab, extra cab, etc?

ANYTHING! IDC as long as it runs i havent talked to the gut yet but hed problly come down a little
ive been looking since i was 14 (im 16 now) and around here this body style is pretty rare to find running/driving and this one is kinda cheap thats the only reason im interested in this one
Can you find some help and buy one from out of state?
That poor truck has seen its better days, and will cost some bucks to repair.
I dont want to turn this into a swap meet thread, but Ive got a rust free 79 Lariat with everything, dual tanks, A/C etc, that I can sell for not too much more than that truck.
Heak just the race track trim alone sells for about what that guy is asking for that one.
Only catch is that I'm in So Ca.
Road trip?????? Probably could sell you and send you home with enough parts to sell once you got back to where you live to offset the cost.
Just an idea
^ i live in south ga and i dont think my little 93 ranger would make it haha thats why i want a project that when im done i can be proud of ive got about 1800 to 2000 in mine now and i didnt pay but 500 for it so its a black whole and the value dosent increase that rapid with it and one of these in theroy would increase more but idk i just love this body style
You should figure out what you want, then look for that. At 16 it's easy to take on a project, then never finish it. or get excited over something that's not worth the trouble of fixing (ask me how I know).
If you can't find anything local. Do you have any family or friends that your family visits out of town on holiday's? You could look in thier area on craigslist or the local classifieds, then you could ride with them to go get it on a holiday.
It would also be wise to have an older person who's more experienced with older trucks help you find, purchase and bring home the pickup.
i really want one of these and my grandfather has worked on everything from military duce and a half to 2009 2500's to all kinds of tractors and he also has a pretty big shop for me to use at my will

i know about getting excited over a project thats not worth it
thats how i got stuck with the truck i have now
That's a terrible picture. How's the rust? Check the hood edges, front fender bottoms, battery tray, cab mounts, cab corners, bed wheel wells, lower bed corners, radiator support, drip rails, floor pans, door bottoms, window seal areas, tail gate and bed floor for holes. If no holes, no bondo, it's probably worth it. Run the motor, drive a bit to check the trans. Check the drive shaft for play, check the tires for odd wear, check the steering for play. Anything else guys? If all this stuff is good, it's probably worth it. Still try to talk him down. He probably expects it, just start pointing out problems and act unhappy about it, then offer him a low ball cash offer. Also consider referencing to one you have seen/passed up that was in better condition for less money.
