2006 Ford Freestyle A/C Question
I am having a problem with the a/c system. The driver's side vents blow cold air, the passenger side blows only hot air. Based on some info I have read, I suspect the air blender motor or blender door motor but am not sure. I need to know where it is located and perhaps see a photo if someone might have one.

You need to do a ac control head self test.Push off and defrost at the same time and within 2 seconds push auto, after test is run if everything is ok all lights will be displayed- if not write down codes. hit any button BUT defrost to get out of test. Then hit off and defrost at same time and within 2 sec. hit recirc. button , if ok all lights will be displayed- if not write down codes.Get out of test by hitting any button but defrost--Hitting DEFROST WILL CLEAR CODES!!!Have to get code definations from a Ford manual.I would do a COLD BOOT to it after recording codes and may fix your prob. Must remove control head-in the panel that surrounds radio and houses ac control module(buttons etc.)- pull back and unplug two wire connectors for one minute and plug back in and wait one minute (recalibrates, you will hear doors moving)and try system to see if it corrects itself.I have just unhooked car battery and got same results BUT Ford says to cold boot it the other way. Telling this all from memory, so if self tests DOES'NT work you may have to look at a Ford Manual for exact buttons to hit-I do know that the COLD BOOT directions are RIGHT. Good Luck Blue
