Been a long time lurker here but thought I'd join up as I finally am a dent side owner again.
First truck I bought was a 79 F250 4x4, 400, c6. Great truck that I of course wish I would have never sold. I've been tempted many a time to go out and get another but never came across the right one at the right time. Fast forward 17 years 1 wife and 2 kids later and I came across a super solid 1978 f250 xlt 2wd. It's a beauty, all original, 460, auto, air, cruise, factory cb. I fell in love and had to buy it. The body looks really good with only a couple small dents but NO RUST!! I've always been a 4x4 guy but am really looking forward to warming the 460 up a bit and having a street truck. Anyway.....looking forward to learning more and having some fun with the new toy.
Welcome to fte fellow south dakotan. Not many on here that I see. My dent isn't that nice, just a hunting truck, but I love it just like you love yours. You'll have fun with it. I just had mine in the shop for a few months this summer working on steering, springs, brakes, heater, etc.. Ol brown is ready for coyote hunting this winter now. I love working on these things.
Hey a fellow South Dakotan.....Thanks for the welcome. I see in your sig you have a drag car....do you run at Marion? We plan on making a few trips up there next year.
That's where I run most of the time. Last couple years and this coming year I am only running about half the time, like memorial day, 4th of july, labor day and a couple others. Trying to save a little money! If you come down next year come find me, you can't miss our pits. One enclosed trailer, one 42' open car hauler, and 3 white fairlanes with "cobra venom, cobra venomII, and cobra venomIII. Again good to see another south dakotan on here.
