On a 2010 F-350 PSD,SRW,SWB, there is 2 HD Steel Horns? that are attached to the frame ends just behind the big plastic bumper (Air Dam?).
They are made of fairly HD metal 3/16" thick and are about 4" wide and 6" long, the bottom edge of these horns are at the bottom of the plastic air dam bumper.
What do they do? Are they used for jacking up front end up? Any Ideas? The way they are mounted, there is no reason for them, and there is no information in the owners manual about them etc.
Seeing that there is no way you can use a handyman jack to lift the front end or rear end to change a tire etc. I have been devising a plan to use the HM jack, with a couple of adaptors to fit the front/rear bumper areas, and spending more time crawling around underneath checking things out.
Whatever you do do not take it to a Ford garage. You might consult with a dentist. Much like an impacted wisdom tooth, I think you have your "TUSKS" inverted and you might need a VETERNERIAN to help get the tusks forward for the BEAST!
AND, check your specs very closely. I do not think FORD manufactures anything for free, so if it is additional, it will show in the spec. print sheet.

You get the Gold star on this one, the "horns" on the front of SD are indeed attachment point that are used when the SD are shipped by RR railcars, they have a attachment point/lever on the railcars that is lifted up and these 2 horns are trapped inside this attachment piece on the railcar, keeps the SD trucks spaced so there is no damage to the front/rear of each vehicle.
The next attachment section in spaced so there is 4" or so between the bumpers of each SD being hauled/shipped. All SD are shipped/moved by railcar as they are too big to haul safely on the transport trucks without lots of damage to the rigs.
