Don't let fear or common sense stop ya...
Unfortunately, the rear seal didn't work 100%... the small gap created where they join let a wee bit of liqid inboard. I'm planning on tearing the carpet out anyway and spraying the floor with a bedliner product so I'm not too concerned with the carpet being a bit dirty.
