Generally, it's not. It has been done before under special circumstances, but the problem is that we have so many users here that if we allowed username changes IB would have to put on anther full-time employee just to handle the constant changes. Not to mention, nobody would know who anybody was on here...
I'm with Rick on this one. You joined in November and with 8 posts, it would probably just be easier to make a new profile instead. Just post up a message after you do and let everybody know about the profile change.
If you would have read my other posts.....you would have seen that I owned a GMC for the past 7 years. I couldn't think of another screen name at the time when I registered here, so I used the one I had at another forum.
Other forums I belong to have no problems in changing the name ONCE only.
Anyway, I just bought a Ford, and wanted to have a name that reflected my truck.

Choosing a name that reflects your truck will be outdated as soon as you get a new one. I couldn't care less what people call themselves but something more generic will stand the test of time.
You coulda gone with a more amusing screen name...like mine. I originally picked it cause the mechanic I used at the time was well...an idiot. Now that I'm the mechanic, I find it still applies from time to time.
