I am wanting to switch from my stock manifold on the 86 300 4.9l to efi manifolds. I am wanting to know what manifiold gasket you use to do this? Do you use the one for your stock manifold or do you use the one for the efi manifolds?
Cool, I just replaced mine last month. ('85 F150) I used the typical Fel-Pro for your current manifold. So far I've had no issues. Mr. Gasket also makes one but finding one has become an issue. Be sure to bone up on the threads that cover this change. Its not hard to do but it will be necessary to do some prep work to get them to fit properly.
Hey bud just givin ya a heads up we got an Inline Six Forum, I think you would have better luck if you posted these types of questions there. just sayin
That said, I've always used Fel-Pro and I've heard that the Mr. Gasket gaskets are crap. Maybe why it's becoming hard to find?
And pushinoleblue, you said you used the regular Fel-Pro gasket for EFI manifolds, right?
