pedestal o rings

well guys after looking around for the oil, i believe its defintly coming from someonething associated with the turbo..that rod coming out of the bottom of the EBPV is covered with oil, would this make sense for that to be leaking oil?? if i do it i'm replacing the o rings anyway...i was just tryin to ask around and see if my thinkin is correct or i'm just wrong...then another question if i want to get the high flow outlet and the non ebpv pedistal is that all i would need to eliminate the EBPV?? and are there any advantages to do this??

Yes you will have to replace the orings, since you will have to pull out the pedestal to repair the EBV. I think you can get the kit from Riffraff Diesel...

If you really want to, just pull out the pedestal and plug the EBV. Pretty much tap it and plug it, I think it is like a 1/4" plug. If you also want to save some money don't worry about the high flow outlet, just take off yours and remove the flapper. It is real easy to do. Just use a small grinder and grind off the rivets holding the flapper in place. You will see what I am talking about when you get it apart. Then use a 3/4" freeze plug to plug the hole. Do a search and I am sure you will find more info...

There is a little quicker spoolup and some say it lowers your EGT's, but really not that noticeable difference.

Check your up pipes while you are in there. They are prone to leaking. If you are in there might as well kill two birds with one stone. Clay at RiffRaff also has those. Get the bellowed ones.

I would just plug the hole in the pedestal as Layson suggested use a 1/4 NPT tap the hole is already the correct size just tap and plug wit a 1/4 NPT plug.

You can see a leaking waste gate rod here and my pedestal getting tapped.
And just like said save the money and delete the flap in you housing.

Turbo is not bad to remove at all. Just be patient. The up pipes are the hardest part, or at least the clamps for the up pipes. That is why I said do the up pipes while you are in there.

The turbo isn't bad at all. The hardest part Is the clamp to the up pipes. Get a nice thick blanket and place is on top of your hood latch and motor so you can lay across the top of your motor comfortably. Also don't forget to remove the plastic powerstroke cover that way you don't crack it.
