EGR
I just went out to look at how hard it is going to be to replace my egr valve and i noticed the little green hose that goes to the EGR is broken off the boot that mounts to the valve. How bad is this? Is there a replacement? Thanks for the help. Its a 96 f250 with the 5.8

Most auto parts stores carry replacement plastic tubing or you can use rubber. Take a piece with you to determine what size you need. Why are you replacing the EGR valve? If the vacuum hose is broken, it isn't going to work in the first place.

I meant to say removing, Its been idling very rough lately and throwing EGR codes so I was going to remove and clean it and see if that helps. There is no special end i need for the other end of this hose? I didnt have time to trace it to the other end.

Quick and dirty method is to leave a little of the plastic tubing on each end, then slip the rubber hose over it. Depending on the age and a few other factors it can be more than a simple job to remove an EGR for cleaning. Good luck
