02 ranger Electrical issue.

I have an 02 Ranger 4wd off road package. The cyclops brake light on the top of the cab along with the bed ilumination lights do not work. I checked the bulbs and they are ok. In the owners manual I cannot find which fuse controls these three lamps. I looked in the library for Chilton's manuals with a wiring diagram and found none.

Can some one tell me what fuse protects these lamps or e-mail me a wiring diagram?

Edit: Welcome to FTE!!!!

Sounds like you could use an owners manual, you can download one here.

I have an owners manual,,,it doesn't provide the information I need . What I need is a page from the repair manual with the wiring schematic.

WOOPS, I misread your first post about the fuse.

Not completely sure your 02 is wired exactlly the same as my 99, but my owners manual shows the in cabin, instrument panel mounted fuse panel 10 amp fuse #26, is for a number of things including the dome & cargo lamps.

My Haynes repair manual shows it as #27 a 15 amp fuse.

Anyway, the dash dimmer control needs to be pushed all the way up, until you hear/feel if "click", to turn the overhead lamps & outside cargo lamps on, if it has power to it through the battey saver relay, which is controlled by the GEM.

Maybe this can get you started, until someone else with a more up to date wiring diagram chimes in.
