another question about egr/head gaskets
another question about egr/head gaskets
after a couple months of thinking, i have finally decided that the 6.0 is the way to go for me. finding the right one will still probably take me a while, but anyways i have tried to research as much as i could on this engine.
what im asking is how exactly do you blow a headgasket? are you just driving one day and all of a sudden the engine cuts off on you? and after its already blown, can you still fix it or is it too late and you need new heads? ive heard arp headstuds are roughly $1500 parts and labor, will this still be the cost after a headgasket has blown? also is there any way that i can tell if this problem is coming simply by test driving the truck? thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions.
EDIT: ignore this question. apparently i didnt search good enough. just found the answer
